1. Scope
This policy applies to the BiShot Android application (the “App”). The App is provided by the developer identified on the BiShot product page in the app store (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
This policy describes only the features implemented in the current version. Other apps selected through the system share sheet, system media players, app stores, or device manufacturer services have their own privacy practices and are not governed by this policy.
2. How We Process Information
2.1 Camera Footage
After you grant camera permission, the App uses the device’s front and rear cameras for real-time preview, picture-in-picture or split-screen composition, basic beautification and filter processing, and video creation after you start recording. Preview frames are processed in real time only in device memory. When recording has not started, the App does not save the preview as a file.
2.2 Microphone Audio
When you grant microphone permission and enable “Record Audio,” the App captures audio during recording and writes it to the same local MP4 file. Microphone access is not required for silent recording; you may deny or disable this permission and continue recording video without audio.
2.3 Local Recordings and Basic File Information
Videos you record are saved to the Movies/BiShot directory in the device’s system media library. The App’s recording library queries only videos in this directory and locally reads the file name, duration, size, date added, and thumbnail for display, playback, and sharing. We do not read your contacts, location, account information, or personal photos and videos stored in other directories.
2.4 Device Camera Capabilities
To determine whether the device can use the front and rear cameras simultaneously, the App locally reads hardware information provided by Android, such as camera identifiers, lens facing, and concurrent camera capabilities. This information is used only to select available cameras and provide a single-camera compatibility mode and is not uploaded.

You can revoke permissions at any time in Android under “Settings > Apps > BiShot > Permissions.” After a permission is revoked, the App will stop the corresponding processing. Revoking a permission does not automatically delete videos previously saved in the media library.
4. Information We Do Not Collect
The current version does not have network permission and does not integrate advertising, analytics, crash reporting, social login, or cloud storage services. Therefore, we do not collect or upload the following information through the App:
- Names, phone numbers, email addresses, account passwords, or contacts;
- Precise location, device advertising identifiers, or cross-app activity;
- Camera previews, recorded videos, recorded audio, or video thumbnails;
- Usage statistics, diagnostic logs, or crash reports.
5. Storage, Security and Retention
- Local storage: Recordings are saved to the device media library through Android MediaStore and are not transmitted to our servers.
- Backup limitations: The App has disabled Android cloud backup and device migration backup for application data. Whether videos in the system media library are synchronized by your device manufacturer, gallery service, or a backup app you installed depends on your settings and the privacy policy of the relevant service.
- Failure handling: If recording or encoding fails, the App attempts to delete incomplete video entries to avoid retaining corrupted files.
- Retention: Videos remain on your device until you delete them through the system gallery, file manager, or another authorized tool.
- Uninstallation: Uninstalling the App may not delete videos already saved in Movies/BiShot. If you want to remove them completely, check this directory and manually delete the files before or after uninstalling the App.
Because recordings are stored on your device, please use appropriate screen-lock protection and carefully manage other apps’ access to media files. Device loss, system compromise, or voluntarily providing files to others may create privacy risks.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Under applicable privacy laws, you may have rights to be informed, make decisions about processing, restrict or object to processing, and request deletion. Because the App does not use accounts and does not upload information to our servers, you can primarily manage your information directly in the following ways:
- Deny or revoke camera and microphone permissions in system settings;
- Disable the microphone in recording settings to create silent videos;
- View, copy, move, or delete recordings through the system gallery or file manager;
- Confirm or cancel sharing a video with a third-party app in the share sheet;
- Uninstall the App to stop future processing and separately remove any recordings you wish to delete from the media library.

8. Protection of Minors
The App is not specifically designed for children under the age of 14. We do not create user profiles through the App or collect minors’ personal information on our servers. Minors should use the App under the guidance of a parent or other guardian, who should carefully manage camera and microphone permissions as well as recordings and sharing activities that contain a minor’s image or voice.
9. Cross-Border Transfers
The current version does not operate a server and does not transmit camera footage, audio, recordings, or usage information domestically or internationally. Whether third-party sharing, playback, or backup services you actively choose involve cross-border transfers is determined and disclosed by those third parties under their own privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
If the App later adds network connectivity, accounts, cloud synchronization, advertising, analytics, or other features that change how information is processed, we will update this policy before those features are enabled and provide appropriate notice through in-app notices, release notes, the app store page, or other methods as required by applicable law. If a material change requires separate consent, we will obtain that consent as required by law.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision of this policy. We recommend reviewing it again after updating the App.
